At a recent gathering of Men’s Action supporters consisting of five men and one woman I asked them to imagine the following scenario:

In leaving the meeting we noticed that there weren’t any people on the streets, no vehicles were moving, and all indications of human life had ceased to exist.

As this scenario unfolded the listeners agreed that it represented the most likely way our relationship would evolve under the circumstances presented. They also agreed that this relationship was more wholesome, safe, and secure than the individualized self-indulgent materialistic lifestyle of Western society.

The lifestyle described in the above scenario reflects the manner in which indigenous peoples all over the world lived.

There are two fundamental lifestyles. One involves propagating and preserving the species as humankind progresses on its spiritual journey; the other involves exploiting a finite materialistic world for individual gain and self-aggrandizement. The Western psyche has chosen the latter and is now paying the price for this ignorance.

The control of the world by international finance stems from the gross materialistic belief and practices of the populace at all levels. “Go to school, get an education so that you can get a good job and make a lot of money and be somebody” has become the international mantra of Western society. The worship of materiality as the solution to all problems pervades Western social mores.

Demonstrations against the practices of government and finance by conservatives and liberals alike are well-meaning but do not address the fundamental issue. They believe the system can be fixed. They do not understand that a system of gross materialism can never be fixed. A genderless society can never survive—it is purposeless and the antithesis to natural living—it is an aberration.

We must learn to live outside of the system, an activity that will become increasingly necessary as the collapse of Western society accelerates.

I recommend that you review the Mission Statement of Men’s Action as a guide to participating in the lifestyle necessary for survival.

The world financial crises, especially the crises in the United States has created warnings from those on high that unless national budgets are made and adhered to there will be serious consequences. Almost daily, talk shows interview those from the materialistic hierarchy who warn humankind of the grave consequences of their fiscal irresponsibility. The Western world in general and the United States in particular suffer from angst as they hear pronouncement that the gods and very-gods of finance, industry, and investment are angered by the irresponsible behavior of governments.

This fear has come about by the worship of the material world and those who run it; they have become high priests in a materialistic hierarchy. The high priests express anger and concern over fiscal irresponsibility because it portends the end of their power.

Humankind needs to realize—and will in fact learn—that the world will continue to function; the Sun will still shine, the earth will still produce, and humankind will survive, just at it did long before the advent of Western materialistic thought. People survive plague, pestilence, drought, famine, and floods. Only governments fail. The creations of man always fail and the creations of God always remain. Frequently the cost of learning this truth is high, but the truth will be learned.

The words of God speaking through the prophet Jeremiah were, “You have forgotten who I am. I am the one who gave you everything. I gave you cisterns of living water—you made for yourselves cisterns that leak.”

Centuries later Paul said, “There is no single thing that you have not received.”

The Koran states, “All things are from God.”

Western thought believes that all things are from humankind, and that humankind can actually improve upon nature and all that God has created. It does not have the concept of matters spiritual, of matters unseen, or the purpose and nature of human existence. It creates for itself false gods and bows down before them and shudders at their pronouncements.

This material world that Western thought has created is now in a state of collapse. The economy is damaged beyond repair. The priesthood will soon be seen for what it is—an impotent hierarchy incapable of understanding the divine nature of existence.

All this bodes well for humankind. As the material powers collapse there will be a return to spiritual values and an understanding of the nature of existence People will begin to realize their individual responsibility, obligation, and consideration for the betterment of the race.

There will be a realization that the proper understanding and application of gender known as patriarchy is essential to the operation of the family, which will once again become the center from which all values emanate.

Do not be saddened my brothers and sisters, my sons and daughters; you are at the threshold of great change and human growth. You have the good fortune of not only seeing tremendous history being made, but of also becoming one of the actors in it. The decade ahead will usher in tremendous change. Fasten your seatbelts and get ready for the ride.

The last four essays described the feminine nature of Western thought. It illustrated that all knowledge came from outside of itself and that its lack of spirituality caused the natural feminine industriousness to focus on the manufacture and accumulation of matters material, which manifests as money and the goods and services that it can buy.

The feminine principle is adaptable, accommodating, responsive, and passive. Without a male to provide the proper environment to support her nurturing activities she will degenerate and cease to exist. The Taoists teach that without the Yang (the masculine principle) the Yin (the feminine principle) will disappear. This is a universal truism.

The absence, inhibition, and misdirection of the masculine influence negatively affects the behavior of animals, humans, and nations. Every species of animal life has dominant males that lead the herd flock, pride, school, troop, gam, or bevy. Without the males the groups deteriorate. The abusive and suffocating environments of laying hens, broiling chickens, and animals raised for meat could not have come about if the males of each species were available to defend them. Only by eliminating or neutering the masculine influence can the various animal species be exploited and put to work.

Among humans when a woman does not receive masculine direction and protection she too is exploited. Like the laying hens, she has been removed from her natural environment of bringing life into this world and nurturing it, and has been thrust into a restrictive environment where she is measured by her productivity; a situation that results in mental and physical suffering. She has been propagandized into believing that her condition reflects, liberation, freedom and independence; therefore, she endures the aberration of natural behavior willingly.

Aside from economic exploitation, when a woman does not receive masculine direction her natural responsive, adaptable, and accommodating nature will make her vulnerable to negative influences around her. She will adapt to and accommodate those influences and become excessively involved in them for her nature is to do things in extremis. Her language becomes coarse, her behavior immoral, and her demeanor disrespectful. This behavior takes a toll on her thinking because she instinctively desires to mate for life for the purpose of propagating and preserving the species; the licentious lifestyle that she has fallen into leaves her wanting. She does not have stability and security in her private life. Finally her body deteriorates physically from stress and the damages of living an un-natural lifestyle.

When a woman does not function effectively society suffers from a lack of nurturing; a condition prevalent in the entire Western and Westernized world and which will be addressed in a separate essay.

The same fate that befalls a woman without a competent masculine presence befalls society when it does not have a competent masculine influence. People are removed from their homes and thrust into restrictive industrial environments where they are measured by how much they can produce. They either comply with this arrangement or they don’t eat, since financial interests now own everything that God gave to this world. Like the women who have been propagandized to believe their condition reflects, liberation, freedom and independence, the workers of the Western world believe they are independent and live in a free society. They are so conditioned to the restrictive environment of Western productivity that they beg for jobs.

An absence of ethics leads to a decrease of morals resulting in debauchery and decadence. Disrespect increases between people, and selfishness prevails as financial gain and self-indulgence are promoted. Corruption reigns at all levels of government, business, and society. Loyalty between husband and wife, employer and employee, and government and its citizens decreases. Mental health deteriorates, crime increases, and the physical well being of society declines. Escape from the consequences of the lack of a competent masculine presence is not possible.

The European continent and the Western world suffer from the lack of a competent masculine influence. Every facet of societal well-being is declining. Nations face bankruptcy, mental illness has become a major health issue throughout the Western world, and divorce and adultery continue to increase while marriage decreases. The family has been destroyed and an international angst has developed. The prison population continues to increase and in the United States it has continued to set record proportions for the last 40 years. The educational system continually produces graduates with high grades and low performance scores. On the international level Western nations are in an almost continuous state of armed conflict.

In the preceding essays we saw that all knowledge came from outside of Western thought. To compensate for its lack of masculine talent within, Western society had to continually exploit not only the resources of the world but the human talent as well. What it did not and has not recognized is that this talent contained the masculine influence that was sorely needed by Western society. The cultural mores and traditions brought to the West by immigrant groups were a result of masculine understanding, leadership and direction. These traditions helped to maintain order in society and also provide the initiative for business ventures. Immigrants own a disproportionate number of shops and small businesses throughout the Western world.

Eventually all immigrant groups lose their cultures and become Westernized and their positive impact fades away. Additionally Western society has conducted a vehement anti-gender campaign through the political, legal, and educational system, thus snuffing out any traces of masculine influence in society. Since most of the world is now Westernized there are few places to go to supplement the decreased vitality of the Western world. Without the vitality and knowledge of the assertive masculine influence society deteriorates and collapses.

The condition of the Western world has fallen to a level beyond repair. It is not worthy of repair. It is built upon a weak foundation—upon a false premise. Its gross materialism lacks any sense of human purpose. Self-destruction has begun.

What then can people do? They can learn to live outside the system and associate with like-minded people who recognize the importance of family and the patriarchal structure necessary to maintain it. These people will establish societal mores for marriage, community and interpersonal relationships. They will share with each other. They will have a spiritual understanding that will be reflected in worship in a manner of their own choosing. Most of the world lived that way until the advent of Western influence.

It is with an understanding of the way of life just described that Men’s Action developed a mission statement that calls for fostering a more natural way of life for humankind. I ask that you review this statement and if you are in accord with it to then become involved with Men’s Action and share in the opportunity to live a more natural way of life.

You have two options and one choice. Either accept things as they are and go down with a sinking ship, or make preparations to live differently now and survive.

Just as all spirituality came from outside of Europe, all knowledge came from outside of itself as well.

Arabic numbers, Euclidian geometry, Pythagorean theorems and the entire mathematical and geometric knowledge used by Europe came from Asia and/or Africa. Pythagoras introduced to Europe the symbol for the Greek letter Pi for the value of the diameter of a circle divided into its perimeter. The altitude of the pyramid in Giza divided into its base is exactly Pi. Pythagoras spent 20 years in the East and returned to Europe and introduced the knowledge that he had acquired.

The Greeks served as the conduit between the Afro-Asian masculine thinking and the European feminine thinking. The early Greek scholars from the sixth century BC and earlier such as: Thales, Anaximander, Anaxamenes, Anaxagoras, and Pythagoras, dealt with abstractions and concepts. Topics they addressed were the origin of all things, God is in all things, and mind controls matter. Pythagoras, whom we credit with the formula for determining the length of the sides of a right triangle, was a mystic. He introduced to Europe the knowledge of numerology which be obtained from the Chaldeans, and established a mystery school in Crotona, Italy. These men exhibited abstract masculine thinking.

Greeks, whom we credit with conceptual thinking such as Ptolemy, Euclid, and Epicures, were all students of Afro-Asian learning. Euclid and Ptolomy had their headquarters in Alexandria, and Epicures’ mentor Democritus (who taught him the atomic theory), traveled extensively in the East.

The Athenian Greeks were more mundane. Aristotle started the scientific approach of gathering materials, classifying and grading them. Archimedes is credited with two famous statements: the first “Eureka” when he discovered that a floating body displaces its weight in water, and the second “give me a fulcrum and a place to stand and I will lift the world,” when he discovered the principle for the operation of levers. By the time of Hero who in the first century invented the steam engine, conceptual masculine thought had decreased significantly among the Greeks as their thinking became increasingly Europeanized and materially oriented.

All of the principles necessary for the development of the industrial revolution came from the knowledge that the early Greeks brought to Europe.

While the industrial revolution enabled Europe to spread its mark upon the world, a prior event caused the initial imprint. This event was the development of oceanic navigation.

Isn’t it strange that at the end of the 15th century the Europeans suddenly had access to the navigational information necessary to circumvent the globe and chart it? Isn’t it even stranger that Portugal and Spain led this exploration rather than say the United Kingdom—a nation surrounded entirely by water?

These events are only strange if we rely on European history books in which knowledge of the eight-century stay in the Iberian Peninsula by the Moors was expunged. For those who were able to learn that the Moors had built a society that housed great centers of learning and whose ships plied the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean it does not come as a surprise that Portuguese and Spanish ships began their world exploration as Europe expelled the last remnants of Moors.

It becomes less strange when we learn that Columbus’ navigator was a Moor. And when we further learn that as Columbus’ ship passed Cuba he noticed a Mosque on a mountainside, it should serve as proof positive that the Moors knew navigation of the oceans long before the Europeans. Like all knowledge used by the Europeans, oceanic navigation was brought to it from the outside.

The lack of understanding of things unseen by European thought transcends the spiritual and the mechanical and applies to nature as well. It looks upon the earth as a huge finite commodity to be exploited and has no concept that behind everything seen something unseen motivates it.

The ignorance of how nature works has led to the belief that it can be altered and/or improved upon without negative consequences. The pollution of the water of the world—whether rivers, lakes, or oceans—, the air of the world, and the land of the world continues unabated with little thought as to the consequences on all life.

Western thought believes that nature must be tamed and then improved upon. By creating dams, levees, and sea walls it has altered nature. Western thought believes that it can make a better apple than God, a belief that provides the thinking for genetic engineering.

It believes that it can cure illness. It does not know that there is nothing to cure, that disease has a causative factor, that people are healed when the causative factor is removed.

Western thought has made a God of materialism and its extension—technology. It believes that through technology all things can be made better and all problems resolved. It does not understand that technology represents a sophisticated extension of materialism responsible for an increasing number of the ills facing mankind.

Western thought’s ability to produce material things will be discussed in depth in the next essay, the point being made here is that whatever knowledge of the environment, nature, flora and fauna, and the workings of the physical world that Europe has came from outside of itself.

Even the practice of bathing came from outside of Europe. Mediaeval Christians considered bathing to be a heathen custom and they took pride in themselves that they never bathed. The Moors introduced public baths to Europe and were condemned for it. As late as the 17th century Europeans still did not bathe. Henry the VIII and his daughter Elizabeth I never bathed. Public baths existed in Japan and the Middle East. The indigenous people of the Americas bathed, only the Europeans didn’t until it was introduced to them from the outside and then only accepted after much resistance.

Western thought continually produces theories. It has theories about everything. Theories come from those who do not know. If they did know they wouldn’t create a theory. Western thought in its focus on matters material—especially money—has conjured up a host of economic theories. Some of the more known economic theorists are Malthus, Veblen, Smith, Marx, Friedman, and Keynes. These economic theorists believe that the proper relationship of money and goods will resolve the issues of humankind. None of them realize that the more focused society becomes on money, the worse the health of society becomes.

Western society continually searches for the truth but never finds it. Its philosophers, economists, sociologists, psychiatrists, nutritionists, and environmentalists all have theories. They don’t have the truth because they look for it in the wrong place. They look for it on the outside—in the material realm. The truth is contained on the inside—in the spiritual realm. Something spiritual resides behind every material thing. Europe, having a feminine psyche has no awareness of this truth.

To this day Western thought thirsts for knowledge from outside of itself. The United States with 300 million people and some of the best universities of the world continually tampers with immigration laws because it “needs” the talent necessary to maintain its edge in the high-tech era. Europe has a similar population and also a history of great universities; still it too seeks talent from outside of itself.

The West is really searching for the input of masculine assertiveness, vitality, and the conceptual thinking behind it, but does not realize it. All knowledge originates from the masculine principle—it cannot be otherwise.

Part 1 The Creation and Gender

The following essay is the first of a five part series that addresses the history of Europe on the basis of gender.

Part One: The one creation and gender

The Bible states that God created Eve from Adam’s Rib. Most people have an awareness of this Biblical story but they give it little credence, especially if they view it from the perspective of Western materialistic thought. In today’s era of sexual equality the concept of the woman coming from the man does not garner much support, especially since it can be readily seen that all humans and mammals are born from the womb of a female. Why then does this great spiritual text make such a bold declaration within its first few pages?

First we have to consider the fundamental operation of the universe. There can only be one assertive force in any area of activity. As explained in depth in my book A Gender Handbook for Western Man, activities such as hot and cold, sound and quiet, light and dark, have three not six assertive influences. These influences are hot, sound and light. If there were two assertive influences in each of these three areas it would be impossible to set a temperature, level of sound or degree of light.

There is only one assertive motivating force in the universe, which is referred to as unseen, positive, and masculine. The universe could not function if there were two motivating forces. Eve came from Adam because there was no place else to come from. Adam represented the assertive influence of the universe from which all things come. All.

Adam said, “Bone from my bones, flesh from my flesh—this shall be called woman, for from man was this taken.” All existence comes from the same source.

Similar knowledge comes from the Koran, which states, “It was He who created you from a single being. From that being he created his mate.” The entire universe comes from the one “something.”

Upon the creation of the physical universe gender came into existence. Without gender there would be no movement. Gender provides the assertive influence that initiates activity and the receptive entity that provides the activity. As long as the physical universe exists all life within it will depend upon gender for its operation and survival. This indicates duality, the positive and the negative, the assertive and the receptive.

All life having come from the one substance indicates oneness and not duality. The duality of function forms the oneness of existence. The Sun provides the environment and the means for the earth to bring forth life and nurture it. This duality between the Sun and the earth forms the oneness of the solar system. The duality between a man and a woman forms the oneness of the family. Through spiritual growth comes the subjective realization that we are all part of the one.

As we look into the night sky we see it aglow with the light of burning suns. Planets do not float independently through the universe; they orbit about a specific sun. All planets were spun off from the gases of a sun. They came from the sun because there was no place else to come form. There is only one source of everything. The Godhead created the physical universe. The physical universe then evolved into the universe that we now see. It continually changes but always within the divine plan.

As we move on to subsequent essays let us remember that there is but one creation and gender makes it work.

We live in the Age of Technology; a description uttered with respect if not with awe, for it supposedly represents the most advanced thinking of humankind. A belief exists that technology will eventually solve all the ills of society and therefore societal rectitude requires the support of technological development.

To decry technology in present day society is considered to be an expression of ignorance if not outright blasphemy. To deny the existence of God represents free thought, but to not recognize the infinite benefits of technology expresses gross ignorance if not mental derangement.

Recognizing the prevailing thinking I will nevertheless state that technology is a sophisticated extension of gross materialism. It represents the ultimate ignorance of the unseen and focuses entirely upon what is seen. It indicates a lack of awareness of spirit and the purpose of human existence. Technology funded by large financial institutions has become empowered ignorance.

Technology caused the oil slick in the Gulf of Mexico and the collapse of the levees during hurricane Katrina. Gross materialism through its highly financed extension called technology runs and ruins our lives.

Technology has caused smog in our cities, pollution and acid rain on our food, pollution of our drinking water, pollution of our bodies from medicinal drugs. Listening to and using the communicative products of high technology produces hearing impairment in our youth and malfunctioning of their minds.

The problems with the nuclear power plants in earthquake torn Japan result from technology, as does the suffering of those trapped in Japanese high-speed trains.

Probably the single major detriment to society caused by technology is in the work place and the lifestyle necessary to accommodate it such as commuting, routine and boring work, or pay dependent upon continually increasing performance goals. Jobs are not natural; work is. The normal work of men since the beginning of time centered on providing the environment and means for women to nurture the race. Nurturing the race has little priority in a materialistic society; self-indulgence and material accumulation are its priorities, which in most cases require having a job.

The negative effect on society of jobs is so great that the American government has a cabinet position to address labor problems, and has established the Occupation Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) to deal with job related health issues. Occupational therapy is a major industry in America with about 30,000 locations generating 20 billion dollars in annual revenue. Job related litigation totals in the billions of dollars.

The cost of jobs is high to the individual not only in dollars but to the physical and mental damage done. Technology focuses on efficient production reducing people to work units. Jobs become standardized routines that eventually become robotized. In the process people become dehumanized then eliminated. This dehumanization creates stress that affects increasing numbers of high technology society members. The sale of tranquilizers, painkillers, and anti depressants has developed into a trillion dollar industry.

Technology does not cure, eliminate or eradicate issues; it creates them. It makes an omnipotent and omniscient God of matter that engulfs and destroys lives.

Technocrats look upon nature as something to be tamed, used and abused instead of something to be respected and cared for. A society that abuses mother earth also abuses its women by taking them out of the security of home and dumping them into the dehumanized workforce. Children are removed from the nurturing love of mothers and stable home environments and given to the state to raise where they will be developed into future drones of society.

Technology has not cured anything in the medical field. It has not eliminated any diseases but has caused many. Parkinson and Alzheimer’s diseases did not exist before the onset of high technology. Nor did diabetes and cancer.

The mutation of animals in the interests of scientific, medical and consumer research further evidences the abuse of nature and the insensitiveness to all life by gross materialistic pursuits in the interest of science and its practical application called technological development.

Everything that technology develops ultimately becomes a weapon. Everything! This occurs on the overt level and the covert level. Automobiles become tanks, planes become bombers, and atomic power becomes a means of annihilation. High tech communications become vehicles of propaganda and medical research provides the potential for germ warfare.

On a covert level, high tech cameras cover an increasing amount of human activity keeping larger members of the population under surveillance. Credit cards, toll cards, and phone records track an increasing amount of human activity. Personal lives have become an open book to those who have access to high technology. This knowledge by others about the every movement of people becomes a weapon that can and is used against society.

Educational systems focus on training and orienting youth in matters material with emphasis on the works of man, which increasingly depends on advances in technology. Students do not receive training in thinking, for the very nature of technology reduces activity to its smallest component so that it can be robotized. The feminine characteristics of reaction, responsiveness and recitation predominate in the educational system as it prepares our youth to obey and follow rather than to think, lead and create.

The student body of American universities consists of 38% males and 62% females, with male enrollment on a continuous decline. Real men do not stay in higher education. Colleges have become vagina vocational centers. The time has arrived for all men to leave the college system, reassess their purpose in life, rescue their sisters from their unnatural lifestyle, and start building a new society.

There is nothing that technology has produced that man was not able to do before its development. Technological communication is as nothing compared to the natural telepathy that exists among people who live close to the earth. American forests and African jungles are not filled with the bodies of lost tribesmen. People were located by and communicated with telepathic abilities.

The health of society has deteriorated under technology and flourished before it. Shamans, bush ladies, medicine men, and a variety of healers kept all races healthy throughout the world. Jesus and his disciples did a fine job of healing without technology.

The world of technology is crumbling all around us and at an accelerating rate. God in the blinking of an eye can destroy what it took men millennia to build. The recent Japanese earthquake serves as an example. It took only seconds to occur but resulted in tremendous devastation to the most advanced technology.

The international flooding that occurred in 2010 was probably the greatest seen since the days of Noah; it washed away technological structures on every continent. The infrastructure of the world is crumbling from decay, and that which isn’t is being blown apart by the war-based economies of materialism.

Long after the earth swallows the last edifices of technology, the Sun will still shine, the Moon will still reflect its light, and Mother Earth will still nurture us with her tremendous abundance. Humans will devote themselves to their propagation and preservation by living in harmony with the natural patriarchal structure of the universe as they move forward on their spiritual journey. All else passes.

UPHEAVAL IN THE MUSLIM WORLD:
THE FINAL STAGE TO INTERNATIONAL SOCIALISM

The political instability and social unrest occurring in the nations of what we term the Muslim world represents the final stages leading to the establishment of a one-world government.

I am loath to use the term Muslim world, for these nations really represent the last vestiges of the masculine influence of the Asian continent regardless of their religious or ethnic makeup.

I addressed this matter in an essay titled “Why We Will Stay in the Middle East,” which appeared in an October 2004 edition of the now defunct Muslims Weekly.

I wrote the following:

No matter who becomes our next president or which party controls congress we will not reduce our presence in Iraq or Afghanistan until we meet two major conditions. The first condition calls for the breaking down of the familial, tribal, cultural, and religious structure of that area; the major impediment to the establishment of a one world socialistic government is patriarchy and the last bastion of patriarchy exists in the Middle East. The second condition calls for the restoration of the Iraqi oil industry with the establishment of the United States as its biggest customer. We will fight to our last resource to see the attainment of these objectives.

Proponents of one-world government must be joyous to see the realization of their dreams lying close at hand.

The only countries that have not yet succumbed to Western values are now being motivated and/or pressured into adopting democracy; the last form of government (according to Plato) before the establishment of complete tyranny.

The entire Asian mainland with the exception of some of the Muslim nations has now been converted to governments of complete Western materialism. They have become communistic or capitalistic economically, but socialistic governmentally. China and North Korea practice communism; Japan, South Korea, and Singapore practice capitalism. All of them have removed male authority, which has resulted in the breakdown of family, the disappearance of ethics, and the abandonment of matters spiritual. These conditions lead to socialistic rule.

India has made a dramatic move towards Western values and now has the distinction of being the diabetic center of the world with 40 million people now suffering from a malady caused by the Western diet.

The social unrest in Iran fueled by its access to Western values on the internet has influenced this relatively young population to increase its consumption of drugs and engage in prostitution, with the resultant rapid increase of venereal disease.

Six months after the arrival of U.S. forces in Iraq prostitution was established in Baghdad. The new parliament requires that 40% of its members be women.

The handful of Middle Eastern nations not yet Westernized will all fall into the Western orbit during this decade.

This does not mean to infer that the Muslims and other religious groups in these nations are being forced into Westernization; on the contrary they are at the trough ready and anxious to feed on Western values. Morocco and Tunisia no longer have a fertility rate necessary to sustain the population. One of the major communicators of the Egyptian uprising was an unwed mother and cigarette smoking Muslima. The Minister of Justice in France is an unwed mother Muslima. In the United States Muslims in increasing numbers appear in family court, get divorced, and have their children put into after school programs and/or foster care. Muslim parents in Western nations now push their children to get an education and succeed financially rather than train and motivate them to get married and create families.

With the final removal of all vestiges of male authority all nations will establish socialistic governments that will link with each other and move closer to one-world government and tyranny.

The only course to be traveled in the absence of the masculine influence is one of materialism and all the decadence that derives there from. The Bible states “do not fall in love with the works of thine own hands,” an activity that consumes Western thought. The Koran states “do not with thine own hands cast yourselves into destruction,” a further activity of materialism.

The Western penchant for the enactment of laws results in an ineffective substitute for ethics. Only men make ethics, and more particularly those men who realize that the purpose of human activity is the propagation and preservation of the species while on its spiritual journey. Without ethics society disintegrates.

From the above one might assume a forecast of gloom and doom. On the contrary it represents a path to enlightenment. The universe operates in perfect order. Whatever is in harmony with it survives; what isn’t doesn’t. We are now witnessing the demise of what is out of harmony with the universe, which will make room for the growth of what is in harmony with it.

A growing minority of people has developed sensitivity to nature, to alternative healing, to the foods that God created, and to a more spiritual way of life. Once they come to the realization that nothing can be accomplished in the universe without the proper relationship of gender their understanding for the need of family and the patriarchal structure that sustains it will grow and their efforts will succeed. The collapse of the old materialistic and genderless order will provide ample room for the development of a new age of enlightenment.

As we approach a major shift in history—the self-demise of gross materialism and the growth of spiritual understanding—let us not be downcast over the events that are occurring. The Westernization of the remaining nations of this world necessitates a near term tyranny that will collapse and pave the way for long-term enlightenment. The spirit is always at work—keep the faith.

To draw a comparison to these teachings I think back to when I lived in an upper scale neighborhood consisting primarily of business and professional people. The talk among men usually focused on the economy, what they were going to buy, where they would go on vacation, and on whether the Yankees would win the World Series. It annoyed me that discussions never left the shallowness of the material realm.

In reflecting on Chief Seattle’s inquiry, what do these men describe to their children on winter nights, what visions are burned into their minds that they will wish for tomorrow?

None and nothing!

Those who live in cubes have no concept of sitting around the fire on a cold winter night. Cubes do not have cold winter nights or hot summer nights, or dry days or humid days, or dark nights or star-studded nights. The temperature and lighting of the cube is always the same. The only concern about the elements for cubists is how it affects their travel from cube to cube. The news channels burst into chatter with the advent of heavy rain, deep snow, heat waves, blustery winds, and frigid temperatures all to describe their affect on travel from cube to cube.

To the Lakota Indians winds, snow, rain, sunshine, day, night, and change of seasons were endlessly fascinating. They provided some of the grist for the teachings of the elders on cold winter nights. The changing temperament of Mother Earth provided the basis for an understanding of the relationship of humans to the earth and the relationship of the earth to God. The great American poet Walt Whitman said, “I think all great deeds were conceived of in the open air.” Living in a cube does not enable one to become cognizant of the open air.

Those who live in cubes do not sit around in quietude—a necessary requirement for listening, contemplating, and understanding. The children (and adults as well) have multitudes of distractions such as texting, watching television, using computers, playing video games or making inane phone calls for hours. They no longer have the attention spans to sit in silence and absorb.

What little advice father’s pass down focuses on going to school, getting an education, making money, and becoming somebody; hardly the stuff that makes for the development of men. The values held by Chief Canassatego of the Iroquois never made it into the Western mindset; men are not taught the ethics necessary to maintain the well-being of society. The behavior of their children reflects the lack of ethics.

Zitkala-Sa, an Indian mother lamented that children came back swearing after learning English, whereas in her language there were no swear words. People raised in the cube do not look upon swearing negatively; it is considered a manifestation of freedom of speech. The Constitution calls for the pursuit of happiness. If swearing makes a person feel good, then Western thought feels it should not be restricted. The negativity that swearing generates does not concern Western thought, for it has no race consciousness. It only has a self-consciousness. It strives to satisfy the ME.

America has the distinction of having the most violent boys in the world; it also possesses most of the wealth of the world. Could moral behavior and material accumulation vary inversely? Does material accumulation affect the relationship of youth to their elders as Chief Peter Paul lamented on the change of who spoke and who listened at councils?

Among those who live in the cube, the value of a person is determined by his contribution to productivity and the amassing of wealth. Productivity is governed by technology, which changes at an accelerating rate; fathers and elders have less and less to hand down to their children in the way of technological knowledge. What fathers and elders did to earn a living has become obsolete; therefore the value to society of the elders becomes marginalized. They are old people who tend to get put someplace and cared for by the state.

A review of the four comments made by Native Americans in this essay indicates that they considered training of the young to include self-sufficiency, moral rectitude, respect for the elders, care of society, and spiritual unfoldment.

That society had no prisons, little thievery, a high level of honor, good health, and a great deal of sharing. Mental illness, depression, and suicide were unheard of.

A fundamental difference between the indigenous people of the Americas, Africa, and the Pacific, as compared to those raised in Western thought, is that the former live in the world that God has made and the latter live in the world that man has made. When people leave the world that God has made they lose the natural connection with the Creator and all that He has bestowed upon humankind. A friend of mine runs a farm museum in Queens and he told be the children that arrive want to see the pumpkin tree and the cow that delivers chocolate milk. They have lost most of the awareness of the relationship of the food they eat and where it comes from, a condition that typifies Western society.

As Western schooled children progress into adulthood they become less cognizant of the world that God made and increasingly limited to the confines of what man has made. Life inside the cube is an aberration of natural living. As Chief Seattle foretold, we stopped living and started surviving. Western activity has become a battle of survival; the joy of living has passed.
